Silok®264-18 cetyl dimethicone is for cosmetics, Stearyl Modified Silicone Polymer, is a kind of light yellow transparent liquid.

Application Method

Silok®264-18 is suitable for oil-based system. It should be thoroughly mixed with other solid or fluid ingredients and heated to molten state before adding. It is also good for aqueous emulsion formulation while the process should be carried out under molten condition.

Silok®264-18 improves gloss in hair care formulation. The role it plays in leave-on and rinse-off products is equivalent to phenyl trimethicone. Meanwhile it further caters to conditioners that require excellent conditioning property. Recommended addition:1%-5%.

 

Effects on Formulation

Silok®264-18 gets rid of stickiness that still exists in general cosmetics and improves moisture and affinity to skin.

 

Storage and Validity

Unopened stored below 38°C; the shelf-life of the product from the date of production for 24 months.
